The MediaFinance 2008 conference brought together key media executives, investors, investment bankers and other intermediaries to examine the types of deals getting done in a market which had already begun to be challenged by frozen credit markets and stubbornly high valuations.

The programme, which was specially formulated to provide industry-wide insight and experience, distilled into deeper, sector-specific panel discussions throughout the day. Presentations from 27 key industry executives placed a strong focus on growth opportunities, including the prospects for consolidation in the TV production and business media spaces, ad-driven business models in emerging markets, in-country consolidation and cross-border deal making.
